The ukulele is a fantastically portable instrument that is both fun in its own right and a great first stringed instrument for children and adults alike. There are four kinds: soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone, with the baritone being closest to a guitar in both tuning and size, but they all have that uniquely Hawaiian sound.
