Electric Guitar
Electric guitar is my first love. I often jokingly tell people that it’s my longest relationship. It’s the sound of Rock and Roll, and it’s also a vital component of blues and jazz.
There’s a popular misconception that electric guitar is more difficult to play than an acoustic guitar, and so students should always begin with an acoustic. This just isn’t true. Electric guitar is actually easier to play than acoustic guitar, and it’s not hard to learn about and acquire the gear you need to start jamming.
Acoustic Guitar
There’s nothing quite like the timbre and presence of an acoustic guitar. Whether you want to strum chords around a campfire, lead a worship team, or play your favorite singer-songwriter tunes, having even just a few acoustic guitar skills under your belt will allow you to play hundreds of popular songs, and it serves as a great foundation for a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
Who needs amps or other fancy gear? Just grab this piece of wood with six strings stretched across it and start making some music!
